I’m a writer, actor, filmmaker, curious world traveler, hopeless nostalgic, & lover of all things vintage. My blog is a mix of all that.
And yes, that’s me in the funky orange glasses, the Michael Jackson red “Beat It” jacket, pink pleather pants, shiny white Saturday Night Fever boogie shoes, and a forehead only a mother could love. They say I’ve always been a bit of a dreamer & have had my own way of doing things…which is why as I grow older and navigate through this life, I have to rely on one thing to get by and cope with all the not-so-rosy moments – Nostalgia.
There are many ways to do it and in my blog I cover them all. Join me as I muse about people, places, and things that once were & dream about all those that could have been. Together we will embark on a nostalgic journey into the past & daydream about what the future will hold. We will travel & people-watch making sure to talk with plenty of strangers along the way…daring ourselves to walk in their shoes.
We’ll talk childhood memories and quote movies. We’ll record all things curious in photographs & videotape all those “you had to be there” moments, so that others can feel as though they were. At the end of it all, we’ll look back, as we always do, and see that we’re all the better for it. We will laugh and I, the emotional sap that I am, will most likely cry. I just can’t help it – I’m a Hopeless Nostalgic.
These are just a few of the stories I’m working on (and their working titles)…patched together much in the same way my memory works – in snippets, still images, roving and often distracted visual angles, and at a pace all my own.
